“Edit-free” is the pitch that sells. The barrier was never only Premiere. It was the second website. You already wrote the SKU note, the “do not invent a second lid” line, the ratio, in an agent. Then a template pack asked you to start again with a blank prompt and a trending layout. The clip arrived without a cut. The brief did not.

Lowering the barrier, for people who actually ship, is two different purchases. An AI video plugin keeps the job next to Codex (the coding agent in ChatGPT), Claude Code, or Cursor. Seedance 2.5 is the model you reach for when the take has to last about four to thirty seconds with the stills you already own. They are not five one-click toys. Do not rank a plugin against a model as two “AI video makers.”

Keep generation where you already type

Ordinary ChatGPT web chat will not install this path. Copy the official prompt from the plugin page, finish OAuth, send the stills with the job. Unlimited seats that block automation are the wrong door.

The plugin is not a Chrome add-on and not a GPT Store tile. Agent keeps intent. A canvas holds images, takes, and campaign pieces so chat history is not the studio. Skills exist for product ads and pain-point spots — work people buy — instead of a drag-and-drop template mall. You are not skipping editing because a library chose the pacing. You are skipping the retype.

If the brief is not in an agent, this lane is the wrong purchase. Open a generator in the browser and say so.

When the take has to be a scene, not a sticker

One-click image-to-video is how a label melts. Text-to-video with no stills is how you get a prettier bottle than the one you sell. Video-to-video style transfer is a different aisle.

Seedance 2.5 is a multimodal model: text plus image, video, and audio references, second-range direction, typically 1080p-class on a hosted generator — not a 4K poster. Write the clock. “0–6s the same packshot; 6–16s a slow push on the cap; 16–24s hold for a caption I will type.” If second eighteen grows a necklace, the folder is wrong. Fix the kit. Do not add another effect pack.

Aspect ratio belongs in the same note as the headline. 9:16 for a story. 16:9 for a page. Auto-export to “all platforms” is how type falls off the edge. Captions you approve still beat a silent-mode promise you did not check.

What actually got cheaper

Small teams skip the editor day for a twenty-second proof. They do not skip rights, review, or the founder who has to be the founder. Credits are studio time. A unified menu of every headline model is a shopping list, not a brief. Pick the job, then pick the engine.

The timeline was heavy. Starting over was heavier. Stay in the AI video plugin when the sentences are already in the agent. Call Seedance 2.5 when the stills have to survive half a minute. Post the file you watched — the one that still matches the note you were unwilling to retype.
